SINGLE CASK SINGLE GRAIN SCOTCH WHISKY
Colour: Auburn
Nose: The nose is rich and potent on first arrival with strong ethereal notes like furniture polish and car wax that then give way to rum and raising ice-cream, molasses and fruit cake.
Palate: Deep notes of raisin, treacle tart and demerara bonfire toffee. Behind the waves of sherry cask informed flavours a spirit character not unlike sweetened kettle fried corn provides a moreish characteristic.
Finish: The oiliness almost immediately transforms to a more tannic, mouth drying texture that prevents this heavily sherried whisky from becoming cloying.
